ABOUT ME

Hello everyone. I am Ben Kokel, the photographer behind all the scenes. I live in the Bay Area, California. I like traveling, hiking, soccer, photography, and film. I've been to Europe, Asia, and Central and South America. I enjoy nature photography the most, but have also done some street photography as well. I like plane spotting and do a lot of aviation photography which you may think is unusual, and if you do think so, you are probably right. I used to only do film, and it was more recently when I started taking pictures. Photography is still rather new to me, so I'm always looking for ways to improve. I've only really been taking pictures for about three years. I use the Nikon D300, and GoPro Hero 7 Black most of the time.
I encourage everyone to try new adventures and to journey out into the wilderness of this planet. What does it feel like to really be away from civilization? Understand the pieces of nature we will lose as climate change continues to grow. Not from facts online, but from actual experience and emotional connection. What does it feel like to walk in a forest of trees without anyone else around? NO AIRPODS. Imagine the entire forest and all the animals in it gone. How would that make you feel? Did they have a choice? Think about it. Even if they fought for their life, could they have prevented their own extinction? What would it mean for them to fight against pollution and somehow win? Ask yourself if that's possible. It's not the entire Earth and all if it's wildlife and then humans separately. We are together.
